IND vs AUS 3rd Test for Day 3 is started and one wicket down for the tourists by Ashwin. Opener Khawaja returned to the pavilion without opening account for the Team, K S Bharat took the catch.

Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne on the crease played in good partnership for 78 runs. Labuschagne hit the boundary on Ashwin’s ball and helped the Team to win the match.
Travis Head scored 49 runs. Australian Team came back in the series with 2-1. The last Test match tournament (Test 4) of this series will be played between 9th to 13th March at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rohit Sharma after losing the Test 3 said, “The decision to play the match on spin friendly was taken by the Team. Knowing to the fact already, that it will be challenging for our batters, we were prepared. Although the Team did not perform well in the batting during first innings”.

Day 1 of the match was not good for Team India in terms of batting. Team was all out for just 109 runs yesterday. Australian Team’s spinner trio Lyon, Kuhnemann, and Murphy cracked all the wickets of Indian Team in just 33.2 overs of the session.
Jadeja performed well in bowling and he alone cracked 4 wickets of the Australian Team in the other session. Although Australia has taken the lead of 47 runs and at the end of the day their score was 156 for 4 wickets.
Cameron Green (6) and Peter Handscomb (7) are on the crease and they will resume the innings thursday morning.
Will India secure 3-0 in the 3rd Test series of 4 matches?
Australian Team was all out for 197 runs by taken the lead of 88 runs over India. Fifth wicket for Australia in form of Peter taken by Ashwin Ravichandran. Sixth and Seventh wickets for Green and Stark were LBW by Umesh Yadav. Eight wicket fell for Carey, LBW out by Ashwin. For ninth wicket Murphy was clean bowled by Umesh Yadav. Tenth wicket fell in form of Lyon by Ashwin.
Team India started batting for second innings, opener Shubman Gill bowled out by Lyon and added 5 runs to the Team. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara are on the crease and playing in a good partnership before lunch.
Rohit Sharma (12) was LBW out by Lyon as the second wicket fell for India. For the third wicket, Virat Kohli (13) was LBW out by Kuhnemann. Jadeja was also LBW out by Lyon as the fourth wicket. Lyon captured three wickets till now for the day. Team India’s fifth wicket fell in form of Shreyas Iyer (26), he caught catch out by Khwaja on Stark’s bowl. Srikar Bharat’ wicket fell by Lyon. Seventh wicket fell for Ashwin (16), LBW by Lyon.
Eight wicket fell in form of Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara hit the half century 59 runs, it was his 35th half century. Only Pujara did a good job in today’s match, other players were proven flop. Ninth wicket fell for Umesh Yadav when he tried to hit the long shot and caught catch out by Green. Lyon captured his eight wicket for the day, he bowled out Siraj.
Team India scored 163 runs in today’s match. Target for Australian Team is just 76 runs.
Day 1 - Session 1
3rd Test match, Day1 of Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India vs Australia started in Indore at Holker Stadium. Both the teams are looking energetic with some replacements in the players.
India won the toss and opted to bat first. As the pitch is batting friendly, as good target can be created for the other Team to crack.
Shubham Gill replaced K L Rahul and came as opener with Capitano Rohit Sharma. Umesh Yadav comes in for Mohammad Shammi. For Australia, Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc comes in for David Warner and Pat Cummins respectively.

1st innings over for 3rd Test match in Border-Gavaskar Series, Team India bowled out on 109 runs in 33.2 overs
Virat Kohli secured the highest 22 runs in the 1st innings in today’s match. Shubman Gill added 21 runs to the Team score.
Rohit Sharma bowled out by Matthew Kuhnemann in sixth over of the match when Sharma tried to hit long shot; Kuhmnemann did off stumping and Sharma got stumpped out by Alex Carey. This was the first wicket for Indian Team. The second wicket fell for Shubman Gill, Carey caught the bowl swinged by touching Gill’s bat.
In the 9th over of the match, Pujara was clean bowled by Lyon. This was the third wicket down for Indian Team. Jadeja caught catch out by Kuhnemann on Lyon’s bowl. Virat Kohli was LBW out over the bowl of Murphy.
In the last bowl of 26th over, Shrikar Bharat was LBW out on Lyon’s bowl. Ashwin also caught catch out by wicket-keeper Carey. Umesh yadav was also LBW out by Kuhnemann.
The last wicket fell for Indian Team in form of Mohammed Siraj, he was run out.
Australian Team’s Kuhnemann captured 5 wickets while Lyon bowled 3 wickets of IndianTeam. The second innings of the Day 1 match is continuing at Holker Stadium, Indore.
Day 1 first session seems to be in contradiction to what Pitch Report Says
It was assumed that the pitch is batting-friendly according to the report and it will help to create a good Target score. Spinners get benefits from the 3rd day of the match. But looking at the Team India performance in batting and the way Australian Team’s spinner trio Lyon, Kuhnemann, and Murphy cracked the wickets of Indian Team, it resulted in contradiction to the report.
Day 1 - Session 2
Australian Team has taken a lead of 47 runs on Day1 of 3rd Test match. The score of Australia at end of today’s day was 156/4. The first wicket for Australian Team fallen for 12 runs in form of Travis Head, he was LBW out. Khawaja and Marnus added 96 runs for the second wicket in good partnership for 198 balls.
Second wicket fell for Marnus. After hitting half-century, Khawaja was caught catch out by Gill. And the fourth wicket fell for Steve Smith, catch out by K S Bharat.
All the four wickets fallen were captured by Ravindra Jadeja alone in today’s match. With this Haha conquered 500 wickets in International Cricket. He became the 7th Indian Cricketer to achive this target.
Cameron Green (6) and Peter Handscomb (7) will resume the innings on Thursday morning.
